The CQLP Directors

Ashley Masters - Chairman

Ashley is a dairy and beef farmer in the Camel valley, north Cornwall. Other enterprises on his family farm include tourism and fishing. All the produce from the farm is sold through farmer controlled co-operatives. Ashley has seen first hand how such organisations thrive in Europe and North America and passionately believes that British farmers should take control of their produce beyond the farm gate, possibly investing in areas such as processing.
Ashley Masters

James Moon - Vice Chairman

James is a farmer director of 300 acres. He has been an organic farmer for 10 years with 50 South Devon suckler cows - fattening all the progeny. He also runs 300 breeding sheep finishing all the stock as well as 200-300 store lambs. The farm is mostly permanent grassland with a small acreage of barley for home feed.
James Moon

Ian Davey - Director

Ian farms 450 acres at Trerulefoot near Saltash with his wife Helen and two young children. His main enterprises are finishing beef cattle, free range eggs, cereals, horse haylage and ewe lamb rearing. Ian says ‘My hobbies include the farm, the farm and the farm along with the parish council – neither of which would be possible without a good wife or a sense of humour!’
Ian Davey

Sue Body - Director

Sue keeps pedigree Poll Dorset sheep and Tamworth pigs on 85 acres near Liskeard. She runs the farm mostly on her own with help from her husband at the weekends and some night shifts at lambing time. They have been there 21 years so are still newcomers! She has been a director for 6 years and is very pleased to see CQLP progress and develop.
Sue Body

Stewart Horne - Director

Stewart has been a director of CQLP for 17 years including 4 as Chair. He is a sheep farmer on Duchy of Cornwall farm, near Callington, carrying 420 ewes and followers. Stewart has always sought to improve farmer co-operation and is a strong believer in closer links throughout the supply chain, by working together we can increase our profits and secure our long term futures. Stewart has a wide knowledge of funding streams gained over 12 years of facilitating successful applications both for individuals and groups.
Stewart Horne

Graham Rowe - Director

Graham farms 400 acres with his family in south east Cornwall. The farm comprises a suckler herd of South Devon cattle, a pedigree Lleyn flock, arable and potato enterprises. He has sold stock through the group since 2000 and has been on the CQLP board of directors since 2003.
Graham Rowe

Kevin Daniel - Director

Kevin farms 300 acres,  just outside Launceston. Their main enterprise is a flock of 700 North Country Mules and Texel X Mules, and a suckler herd of 30 Simmental X cattle.

Kevin believes that in today's uncertain economic climate marketing through a famer-owned co-operative which offers bad debt insurance gives him reassurance and income security, and  by working together  a chance of realising a larger share of the retail price.

Kevin Daniel

Juliet Cleave - Director

In partnership with husband Chris, Juliet farms nearly 200 acres of grassland a couple of miles inland from Port Isaac. The main enterprises are a flock of 115 ewes and  a  herd of 70 pedigree Devons. She joined the group in 1997, she had been using co-operatives for buying and wanted to bring this concept to the marketing of their stock. She feels that working together with other farmers benefits her business.
